Meet the Owner
Victoria 'Esenam' Kwame was born and raised in the sunny state of Southern California. Her parents were originated from Ghana and has instilled the Ghanaian culture into their household. She then grew a natural love for the art of waist beads. She first discovered the love for waist beads at the young age of 7, as her mother would dance around the house with such confidence and tranquility that she expressed stemmed from her waist beads. Victoria has since then revisit her love for waist beads in 2017 after having her very own phenomenal experience. She expresses how her waist beads make her feel more confident, motivates her in accomplishing her fitness goals, keeps her spiritual well-being in tact and has also lead her to establishing her very own business. She then merged her love for waist beads, along with her Ghanaian cultural background to make this possible for everyone, no matter your shape or size, cultural background, or your spiritual well-being.
Victoria's primary purpose for establishing Esenam’s Beaded Body is to allow others the opportunity to enhance ones beauty, self confidence, and most certainly the appreciation for ones body. She had the pleasure of selecting some of the most captivating waist beads, with a wide variety of vibrant colors to choose from. She hopes to share a new found love for waist beads to all of you and is thrilled for this new venture in her life. Waist beads are a traditional African adornment that has been worn for centuries by women in many West African cultures. These women wore the beads to assist in shaping the waist and emphasizing one’s natural curves.
